RoadRunner Connection Sharing

Due to multiple requests for this information, we have decided to post this at our website.

Your RoadRunner modem is capable of supporting many internet connections through many computers.

Some answers to FAQs...

Your connection speed will not be affected.
You may use each computer at the same time.
Each computer can access any site individually.
You are responsible for purchasing the hardware and installation.

What you need to purchase...

An ethernet hub or router: The hub allows your computers to communicate and share the RoadRunner connection.
An additional ethernet card: This needs to be installed in the computer that you would like to add to the RoadRunner connection.
Two additional lengths of ethernet cable: These complete the connections between your computers and the hub.

How to set it all up...

RR share setup

Purchase the parts that you need.
Install and setup the ethernet card and RoadRunner software in the PC that you're adding.
Run an ethernet cable from the ethernet card of each PC to Ports #1 and #2 on the hub.
Run an ethernet cable from the RoadRunner cable modem to Port #8 on the hub.
Flip the crossover (8X or 8=) switch until you get a green light on the hub for Port #8.
You're ready to go !!
